Saving Money

I do not know about you but saving money is important to me. Some people might refer to me as a tightwad or a cheapskate but I think they have the wrong idea. There is a difference between being stingy and being thrifty. Let me explain.

A stingy person only wants to help themselves. They will be tight with money because they feel it is the only thing they have. George Constanza from Seinfeld is a good example.

A thrifty person does not mind spending occasionally and actually likes to buy for other people, but they want to make sure that they are not overpaying for anything. (And I mean ANYTHING!)

My husband gets excessively annoyed at me whenever he chooses to go grocery shopping with me. He really should know better by this point in our five-year marriage.

I must compare prices! If you simply pick up the first item you see and walk off with it, 9 times out of 10 you have spent too much for it!

The same is true for online shopping. A thrifty shopper scrolls down to see the comparison charts. They pull up multiple pages with the same item and compare costs, shipping costs, and decide if it would be worth it to buy in bulk.

If you are one of those awesome, thrifty people who like saving money then this website is for you. Keep watching weekly for more great ideas on how to save money.
